We know getting prepared to go back to school at the end of the summer can be difficult for some families. We want to partner with you to help give your kids the chance to start the school year in the best way possible. This event is for families who need a little help with school supplies for the upcoming school year. If you are a family in need of this resource, we are here to help! Families who are available to attend must register by May 22! We encourage you to register as soon as possible, as this event often reaches capacity prior to the deadline.

Attendance is required for Give A Kid A Chance, and we will only distribute backpacks and supplies on Saturday, July 20, during the event. Registration for Give A Kid A Chance 2024 will close on May 22 or when we reach capacity.

Children in Pre-K through 12th grade can receive a backpack.
Do my kids have to attend the event to receive a backpack?
Yes, kids need to attend, so they can pick out their backpack and supplies.
Can I pick up my kids supplies after the event?
We will only distribute backpacks and supplies on Saturday, July 20, during the event.
Does it cost any money to attend?
No, the event is free to attend!
Do you have to be a Cherokee or Pickens County resident?
Yes, this event is for children Pre-K through 12th grade that attend Cherokee or Pickens County schools.
